The Korea Tourism Organization (Acting President Seo Young-chung, hereinafter referred to as “the Organization”) will hold a special tourism photo exhibition under the theme “Landscapes of Longing, Lights of Hope” at the Aegibong Peace Ecological Park in Gimpo, in collaboration with the Gimpo Cultural Foundation and the Gimpo Photographers’ Association, from March 21 to April 30.

This exhibition was organized to promote the hidden beauty of Korea and the unique tourism content of different regions, using the newly emerging tourist attraction, Aegibong Ecological Park, as a platform. Since its official opening in October 2021, despite limitations on the number of daily visitors, the park has attracted an average of 1,260 visitors per day (as of December 2024), gaining explosive popularity among both domestic and international tourists.
The public corporation will display more than 40 works including those awarded in the Korean Tourism Competition (picture category) at the Aegibong Peace Ecological Park Open Gallery and Observatory. Visitors can see panoramic pictures of the rock majestic Ulsan in the background where they can appreciate the northern lands, and landscape pictures with colorful nature. After the exhibition ends, the public corporation will donate a piece of artwork that can be harmonized with the landscape of Aegibong Observatory to the Gimpo Cultural Foundation.

Yoo Jin-ho (유진호), Head of the Tourism Content Strategy Division at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, “Aegibong Peace Ecological Park has become a must-visit destination in Korea, gaining significant popularity among international tourists as well.” He added, “Through our overseas offices, the Organization will continue to develop travel packages that highlight the unique charm of destinations like Aegibong and strengthen local marketing efforts to actively attract more foreign visitors.”
The artworks presented through the exhibition can also be enjoyed at Photo Korea (phoko.visitkorea.or.kr ). In addition, the corporation is opening up more than 100,000 photo data featuring domestic beauty, so anyone can use them for free.
