Support for demonstration of innovative companies and expand opportunities for market development

Daejeon City signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) on the 17th in the city's main conference room to support the demonstration and market entry of small and venture businesses.

Officials from both organizations, including Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo and Korea Water Resources Corporation President Yoon Seok-dae, attended the signing ceremony.

Through this agreement, Daejeon becomes the first local government to participate in the National Demonstration Platform (K-Testbed). This partnership aims to strengthen mutual cooperation between the Daejeon Demonstration Platform and the national K-Testbed, sharing both organizations' demonstration resources to expand technology verification and market entry systems for businesses.

Notably, if a local company that has undergone demonstration testing on the Daejeon Demonstration Platform (www.djtb.kr) is designated as an Innovative Prototype by the Public Procurement Service, it can receive the same benefits as those of the K-Testbed. This is expected to make market entry more accessible for companies with innovative technologies.

The main contents of this agreement are ▲Expanding opportunities for local companies to enter the market by supporting registration of innovative prototypes by the Public Procurement Service ▲Expanding public relations for demonstration support projects by linking demonstration platform portals of both institutions and activating corporate participation ▲Expanding demonstration opportunities by opening and sharing demonstration testbed resources and spreading sharing of innovative technology results.

Previously, in September of last year, Daejeon City launched the Daejeon Demonstration Platform (www.djtb.kr) to integrate and manage dispersed demonstration projects and resources within the region. This platform helps businesses easily and conveniently access the necessary resources and information for demonstrations.

Mayor Lee Jang-woo expressed, “We hope this agreement serves as a practical stepping stone for the growth of companies. We will continue to expand public and private demonstration networks and implement comprehensive support and policies to help local businesses enter the global market.”
