The Seoul Tourism Organization (CEO Gil Ki-Yeon) announced on the 24th that it would trial the Visit Seoul Travel Planner service, which uses AI to provide foreign tourists with customized Seoul tourism information.

This travel planner service uses AI to generate reliable answers based on approximately 30,000 data points from the official Seoul tourism information website, Visit Seoul. It provides information in five languages (Korean, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese).
The 'Travel Planner' service, in particular, acts as a concierge specialized in Seoul tourism. It features a 'comprehensive search' function that makes it easy to find various tourist information such as 'attractions, restaurants, performances, and shopping' from Visit Seoul. It also provides information on 'ongoing exhibitions, performances, festivals, events' and 'user-customized itinerary recommendations.'
The Visit Seoul 'Travel Planner' service is an AI service specialized in the tourism sector. With the introduction of conversational AI, it is expected to provide tourists with more convenient multilingual guidance services.
The service is currently in a trial operation phase and can be used by downloading the official Seoul tourism platform, Visit Seoul application. User feedback will be collected until next month (March) to improve the service further before its official launch.
