The '2025 Nonsan Agricultural Food Overseas Expo' recorded 85,000 visitors on its opening day, signaling an overwhelming success.
Jointly hosted by Nonsan City and Jakarta Province, this expo aims to promote agricultural food exchanges between Korea and Indonesia and will be held at Kota Kasablanka, located in the heart of Jakarta, from the 13th to the 16th. On the opening day, February 13th, visitors experienced various programs that showcased both Korean and Indonesian cultures, including trying on traditional Hanbok and Kebaya attire. Visitors captured moments around the event venue and shared the atmosphere of the 'Nonsan Agricultural Food Overseas Expo' on social media, further increasing local interest.

Particularly, the Nonsan strawberry(논산 딸기) tasting event and the Korean food experience zone attracted continuous lines of visitors, reflecting the high interest and popularity of Nonsan agricultural products. Visitors expressed high satisfaction with the taste and quality of the products.
One Indonesian visitor, who was already familiar with Korea due to the 'K-pop' craze, said, "I got to know Korea because of K-pop, but now I think I will fall in love with Korea thanks to Nonsan strawberries. The sweet and sour taste is very attractive."
The grand opening ceremony began at 6:30 PM with many visitors in attendance.
Baek Sung-hyun(백성현), the mayor of Nonsan, expressed his gratitude by saying, "I sincerely thank the Governor, the mayor, and all officials for making this event possible. I am proud and moved by the fact that the sweet fragrance of Nonsan strawberries is spreading throughout Jakarta, a hub of trade and culture."

He continued, "I hope this expo will be a time for Jakarta citizens, tourists, and our Korean compatriots to fall in love with Nonsan strawberries and other excellent agricultural products from Nonsan. We will also make bold strides towards the world's first '2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo'."
Munjirin, the mayor of Jakarta, also delivered a welcome speech, stating, "I am delighted to present the sweet and fresh Nonsan strawberries to Jakarta citizens and create special memories. I hope that as a global city, Jakarta will continue to cooperate and build partnerships with Nonsan."
Choi Yong-hun, chairman of the Nonsan City Council, said in his congratulatory speech, "This expo is a great opportunity to promote our excellent Nonsan agricultural products globally. Through close cooperation between the two cities, I hope we will significantly contribute to the export of Hallyu and build a stepping stone towards the upcoming 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo."
In addition, Park Soo-duk, deputy ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia, emphasized the importance of this event, stating, "Nonsan is the largest strawberry-growing region in Korea, known as the hometown of strawberries. I hope both cities will continue to develop through such exchanges, along with a successful conclusion of this event."
Following the opening ceremony, performances by Bang Ye-dam, former member of the group 'Treasure,' Indonesian female artist NAURA AYU, and Indonesian boy group UN1TY, further heated up the atmosphere and raised expectations for the remaining three days of the event.
Approximately 85,000 visitors attended the event on the first day, and with pre-order quantities included, a sales volume of 3 tons was recorded, confirming the high interest in Nonsan strawberries and agricultural products.
