Original cultural products with the purpose of embodying local culture, environmental resources, and history

The coffee, named after the iconic Daechungho Lake, was created with the goal of uncovering unique regional cultural products that represent the area's culture, environmental resources, and history. Inspired by Daedeok-gu’s emblematic Daechungho Lake, the cooperative has worked closely with a local roastery along the lakeside for over a year to craft the product.
To enhance both the quality and flavor of the coffee, the cooperative collaborated with the Daechungho lakeside roastery for a year-long planning and production process. As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability, the product is packaged in reusable fabric pouches rather than paper, making it an eco-friendly choice for consumers.
Daechungho Coffee is available in two varieties—Red and Blue—each offering distinct flavors and aromas, providing consumers with a unique local coffee experience. The coffee can be purchased through the online shopping platform [Daewha Shop](https://smartstore.naver.com/daewhashop).
Chairman Hwang Seon-eop of the Daehwa Village Cooperative remarked, “Daechungho Coffee is the first local product created by our cooperative. It’s more than just coffee—it’s a bridge that connects Daechungho Lake and our local community. We plan to release more products in the future to represent our region.”
Daedeok-gu Mayor Choi Chung-gyu added, "I hope that ‘Daechungho Coffee,’ produced using our region’s unique resources, will help spread the beauty and value of Daedeok-gu, and become a source of pride for our local community. The district will continue to do its best to ensure the success of local brands like this."
The Daehwa Village Cooperative, which emerged as part of the urban regeneration initiative, aims to establish itself as a platform for creating and selling local cultural products not only for Daehwa-dong, but for the entire Daejeon area. Through this, the cooperative seeks to achieve economic independence and sustainability while fostering stronger ties with the local community.
