
The evaluation focused on six criteria: the management rate of food poisoning incidents, the rate of identifying causes of food poisoning, the activity index of consumer food hygiene monitors, education and promotion of food poisoning prevention, and on-site inspections for food poisoning prevention.
To prevent food poisoning, Buyeo County implemented several measures, including the operation of an emergency response team for food poisoning incidents, on-site guidance and inspections of group meal facilities and large restaurants, hygiene education for businesses and staff, and promotional activities for food poisoning prevention along with collection and testing of food samples.
A representative from the Buyeo County Health Center stated, “We are very pleased to be recognized for our efforts in food safety management, which benefits the health of our residents. We will continue to strive to create a safe dining environment.”
Additionally, Buyeo County was recognized as an excellent institution in the 2023 food poisoning prevention management evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, ranking among the top 18 cities and counties last year.
