On May 8th, the village campsite of "Connecting the Village, Connecting the Heart," Chimsan Chuwol held a feast for the senior citizens in celebration of Parents' Day in 3 days.
The event was held with more than 100 people attending, including adults, residents, and related activists in Chimsan-ri, Jochiwon-eup, Sejong City.
For the event, the organizer provided Samgyetang for the grown-ups with a portion of the profits from the Chimsan Chuwol Village Campsite as a social contribution.
In addition, DNS, a local company, received a lot of applause from local residents for providing 10,000 KF-94 masks for free.
Chimsan Chuwol, a campsite in the city center, was opened in November 2021 in Chimsan-ri, Jochiwon-eup, Sejong-si as a non-profit social cooperative.
Chimsan Chuwol is a pilot project to foster a social economy organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and supported by the Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation to create jobs tailored to the region.
Chimsan Chuwol operates a camping experience cafe and other camping items that can be rented and camped without camping tools.
Chimsan Chuwol is close to Jochiwon Station, a key transportation hub, so it is easy to access and is located in the middle of the city, so it has good conditions for camping beginners as a prior experience.
"As the camping season is in full swing these days, we cannot camp without a reservation on weekends," said Shinheung-kyun, chairman of the Chimsan Overtaking Social Cooperative, asking for a reservation in advance.
The meaning of Chimsan Overture means "The autumn moon viewed from Chimsan."
