The Longest-Running Art Fair in Korea, 2025 Hwarang Art Fair Opens on April 16

The longest-running art fair in Korea, the Hwarang Art Fair, will open its doors for five days at COEX Halls A & B in Seoul from April 16 to April 20, beginning with a VIP Preview on April 16.

The 2025 Hwarang Art Fair marks a milestone, using both COEX Halls A and B for the first time to showcase curated works from 168 leading galleries across Korea.

The event will begin with a preview for VIPs and the press on April 16 and continue through April 20.

Boasting a 43-year legacy, the Hwarang Art Fair has firmly established itself as a key art event in the first half of the year. It features works from renowned artists as well as unique creations by emerging talent, offering a rich array of artistic diversity.

The 2025 Hwarang Art Festival will provide new artistic inspiration to existing collectors, and it will be an opportunity for new collectors to take their first steps into the Korean art market.

Key programs this year include the ZOOM-IN Edition 6, a special exhibition spotlighting emerging artists, and the ART & ARTIST TALK program, featuring discussions with experts from various fields in the art market.

Tickets will be available for pre-sale starting Monday, March 17, via a link on the official Hwarang Art Fair website (www.hwami.org). General admission is priced at 20,000 KRW, with a discounted rate of 15,000 KRW for students (elementary, middle, and high school).

An Expanded Hwarang Art Fair in 2025: Digital Technology Enhances Visitor Experience

As it is the largest ever held, the 2025 Hwarang Art Festival plans to strengthen its digital platform to provide a more convenient viewing environment for visitors.

The fair will introduce an online catalog and online ticket system to provide visitors with easy access to exhibition information without relying on physical catalogs. Starting Friday, April 11, the online catalog will be freely accessible on the Hwarang Art Fair website (www.hwami.org), enabling anyone to effortlessly explore exhibition details.

2025 Hwarang Art Fair Reveals Key Visuals with Youthful Innovation

The new key visual for the 2025 Hwarang Art Fair combines a modern touch with tradition, featuring an octagonal structure and graphic elements inspired by the Korean consonants "h" and "d" to maintain the fair's identity.

The emerald color, designated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government as the color of the year 2025, reflects the expansion and evolving trends of the art market while symbolizing the future envisioned by the Hwarang Art Fair. The vibrant pink accents symbolize the bold spirit of emerging artists and the dynamism of contemporary art, reinforcing the fair's role as a leader in creative trends.
