Buyeo County (Mayor Park Jeong-hyun) will hold the 3rd Baengma River Jeongwol Daeboreum Moon Viewing Festival, organized by the Baengma River National Garden Citizens' Promotion Committee, in celebration of the 2025 Jeongwol Daeboreum. This festival aims to encapsulate the wishes of the local community and to wish for the success of the 2025-2026 Visit Chungnam Year, promising to provide special memories for both the local community and tourists.
The event will take place over two days, from February 7 to 8, at the Baengma River Theme Park (viewing platform), a representative landmark of Buyeo, featuring a variety of programs that blend tradition and modernity.
Additionally, a diverse array of performances by local art groups, celebratory stages by famous invited singers, an opening ceremony, and a bountiful harvest ritual will be prepared.
Notably, on the first day at 7 PM, there will be a wish lantern release, and on the second day at 7:30 PM, a torch burning ceremony and fireworks will take place.
On the 8th at 2 PM, a Jisinbalgi event wishing for happiness and abundance in the Year of Eulsa will occur, along with a large-scale traditional music parade starting from Buyeo County Hall, passing through Buyeo-eup, adding rich enjoyment and spectacle to the event.
Various ongoing experiential activities for families, friends, and couples will also be available. Participants can create special memories through traditional experiences such as riding a canister train, kite flying, roasting chestnuts and sweet potatoes, and playing with firecrackers.
A Buyeo County official stated, “We will do our utmost to ensure that the Jeongwol Daeboreum Festival, held at the theme park, becomes a representative winter event of Buyeo, and we will strive to bring great joy and happiness to local residents and tourists.”
