The Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF) 2019 was held from 13 and 15 October under the theme of “Tourism and Leisure: Roadmap to a Beautiful Life,” in Macao. The main venue was the MGM Cotai Hotel, one of Macao's integrated resorts.
Established in 2012 and located in Macao, GTEF takes advantage of Macao’s proximity to China, strategic position in Asia, and forerunner position in the region’s burgeoning tourism economy, connecting governments and industry players from Mainland China.
As an international exchange platform, the GTEF has promoted sustainable development of the global tourism industry with a focus on China. GTEF engages public and private sector stakeholders from around the world in high-level exchanges on timely and thought-provoking subjects. The Forum also creates extensive and rewarding opportunities for tourism promotion, investment, and cooperation.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is a longstanding partner of the GTEF and shares its commitment to increasing meaningful partnerships, dialogue, and cooperation between nations and regions, the tourism private sector and other stakeholders.

This year's GTEF featured Argentina and Brazil as partner countries and Jiangsu as the partner mainland province. They prepared presentations and press parties to promote them to potential Chinese tourists.
The event also included the first “GTEF World Tourism Investment and Financing Conference,” and they presented several topics on how important managing investment and financing effectively in the tourism industry.

In addition, there are plenty of valuable sessions and keynotes speeches focused on sustainable tourism perspectives to fit your preference and interest.

This forum seems to be an important opportunity to study and view the trends of the global tourism industry and the tourism industry from a business perspective.
