Buyeo-gun Facility Management Corporation (부여군시설관리공단) Receives ESG Award at the 19th Korea ESG Awards
Buyeo, South Korea — Buyeo-gun Facility Management Corporation, under the leadership of Chairman Sang-cheol Yoon, was honored with the prestigious ESG Award during the 19th Korea ESG Awards ceremony held on September 5. The corporation also received the Director’s Award from the Rural Development Administration.
This year's event, marking its 19th iteration, was organized by the Korea Service Industry Promotion Agency. The awards evaluated participants across three key categories: environmental management, social contribution, and governance.
The Korea ESG Awards aim to guide companies toward sustainable development and highlight the importance of social responsibility in enhancing corporate value.
Buyeo-gun Facility Management Corporation has committed to addressing social issues by prioritizing sustainable management practices to enhance the well-being of customers and residents. Notably, the corporation has implemented eco-friendly initiatives, such as collecting fallen leaves and repurposing them for local farmers, and actively participated in flood recovery efforts to support residents affected by disasters in 2023 and 2024. The corporation has also fostered volunteer activities in the local community through its dedicated volunteer groups.
Chairman Yoon Sang-cheol expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, "This award is the result of the collective efforts of all executives and employees of our corporation. We will continue to contribute to the local community through environmental protection, social value creation, and transparent management, taking a leading role in advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) values."
