The delegation consisted of over 50 members, including the mayor, council chairman, council members, aides, and heads of relevant departments.
The group visited the public livestock waste treatment facility in Eumseong County, Chungcheongbuk-do, and the traditional market in Ansung City.
At the Eumseong facility, they received a comprehensive briefing on the project’s preparation and operational status. They also observed the liquid fertilizer treatment process and the conversion of biogas into electrical energy for communal use.
During their visit to Ansung City’s traditional market, the delegation explored successful collaborations between traditional markets and large supermarkets, as well as strategies for revitalizing the local community through cultural and artistic initiatives.
Mayor Park Jeong-hyeon and Chairman Kim Yeong-chun agreed to work together to create an eco-friendly and vibrant city by incorporating best practices from these successful policies.
Meanwhile, Buyeo County is advancing its integrated environmental facility for organic waste, valued at 47.1 billion won, while operating six traditional markets.
