On the 4th, Buyeo-gun (Governor Park Jeong-hyeon) held the ‘2024 Buyeo-gun Investment Attraction Briefing’ for members of the Korea Foreign Enterprise Association at the Novotel Ambassador Dongdaemun Hotel in Seoul.
The briefing aimed to establish cooperative relationships with foreign companies and investors and was attended by Seo Young-hoon, Chairman of the Korea Foreign Enterprise Association, along with approximately 70 foreign investment companies.
Companies relocating to the planned development special zone can benefit from full inheritance tax deductions (for small and medium-sized enterprises), regulatory exemptions, tax and financial support, and improved living conditions for workers, which attracted significant interest from businesspeople.
Additionally, Oh Pyeong, the General Secretary of China HK POWER Co., Ltd., which signed a memorandum of understanding worth 38 million USD (50 billion KRW) in July of last year, attended the event to introduce the company and announce additional investment plans for Buyeo-gun.
Buyeo-gun Governor Park Jeong-hyeon stated, “This investment attraction briefing was organized to widely publicize Buyeo-gun’s potential and further invigorate the local economy through collaboration with domestic and foreign businesspeople. I hope that many will recognize the appeal of Buyeo-gun and seize the opportunity to grow together.”
