The "2024 Daejeon Zero O'clock Festival," finally launched a celebration on the 9th. Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo expressed, "The pride of Daejeon, a great city, will shine more."

As a city of pioneers, this year's Daejeon festival contained everything in Daejeon, including culture, science, and safety, and as if to reflect the confidence that it will be ranked as Asia's No. 1 festival within five years, it is evaluated that it has achieved the growth of scale and quality of content. 

At the opening ceremony, the festival opened at midnight with a calligraphy performance wishing for the success of the festival. The Black Eagles, an Air Force special flight group that is rarely seen in urban areas, cheered loudly. The air show embroidered the sky of the original city center of Daejeon for about 30 minutes. 

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon celebrated the opening of the Zero O'clock festival, stated, "I hope it will be an energetic city and will be the number one brand reputation in the world through the Daejeon Zero O'clock festival." 

Specially, Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo also shared his thoughts, "Daejeon is the capital of science and technology and a great city that has developed basic science and technology. Daejeon is the city that will play the biggest role in Korea's transition to the G2. Please join forces to shine our pride and make Daejeon shine more as a global city." 
Adding,  "The Daejeon Zero O'clock festival will be the No. 1 festival in Asia within the next five years," adding, "We expect 2 million visitors to visit this festival this year. Please welcome visitors kindly, keep everyone safe without any rip-off fees, and enjoy the midsummer night festival." 

Meanwhile, this year's festival aims to increase the value of Daejeon's city brand and enhance the charm of Daejeon, a leading tourist city.
