My name is Nguyen Tra My (Chilly), and I am currently pursuing a master's degree at SolBridge International School of Business in Korea. During my one-year stay here, I have had the pleasure of creating countless cherished memories.
I am an avid traveler who always seeks new experiences because my ideal way of living is "You Only Live Once." I want to immerse myself in various experiences, to become someone with a lot of knowledge about the world. There is nothing more wonderful than feeling the excitement of going to new places, standing on the summit of a high mountain, and gazing at the beautiful and magnificent natural scenery. At that moment, I feel like a winner.
Since I was in Vietnam, I began pursuing my passion. I often gather friends and plan my trips. Each trip brings different feelings and experiences. An adventurous trip on a motorbike brings a sense of freshness and conquest, which is different from a relaxing trip for self-healing. Usually, in Vietnam, we always have a group to travel together, sometimes a group of 5 people, sometimes a group of 7, or even more than 20-30 people. And my travel journey changed when I came to Korea.
Stepping into a foreign country without any relatives or friends, I began living alone and having experiences by myself. How can I not feel lonely when I climb a mountain alone? How can I not feel sad when I eat alone? But then everything became wonderful when I started to learn how to adapt. And I enjoyed the feeling of being alone. It helped me to have new experiences, to feel refreshed, and to discover many different aspects of myself that I had never thought of before.
Many people have asked me why I chose Korea for my master's degree. Simply because I like it. Since I was young, Korean culture has been a part of my life from movies, music, to even food. It became a part of my childhood and also my dream.
The impression of Korea is not only on me but on many Vietnamese people, which is "Korea is so beautiful!" Therefore, when I had the opportunity to study abroad, there was no reason why I would not choose Korea. That is why, living here for over a year, I have had unforgettable travel experiences.
I like taking photos. I take and post them on my social media as a way to keep memories. I always imagine that, in the future, when I am old, I will show my grandchildren that I have been to these places and have had a wonderful time.
Having experienced all four seasons in this country, each one has brought me different feelings. For me, Korea always gives off a gentle vibe, a vibe that just looking at it makes my heart flutter.
I also enjoy the food here, even though I am not good at eating spicy food. Many of my friends have shared that they do not like Korean food and cannot appreciate it. Fortunately, I love it. I love the chicken menu with dozens of different flavors, love the soups for chilly days, and especially love the sweet and fragrant taste of strawberries in season.
All of these make me fall in love with this place. If I go back to Vietnam, I will definitely miss this place a lot.
