Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo attended the 1st Women Business Week event hosted by the Daejeon Branch of the Korean Women Entrepreneurs Association on the 21st to celebrate the first event and support the continuous growth and development of local female entrepreneurs.
The event, held at the Daejeon branch of Lotte Department Store, participated in about 60 female companies from the Daejeon area, held a sales and promotion exhibition of excellent products for one day on the 21st, and operated a counseling window to resolve management difficulties of female companies.
In this event, heads of relevant organizations such as Daejeon Metropolitan City Mayor Lee Sang-rae and Daejeon Sejong Regional Small and Medium Business Administration Lee Sang-chang attended the event to congratulate them.
Mayor Lee said, “Recently, women’s businesses that have been steadily growing are playing a big role in the Korean economy with their delicacy and planning ability. We will do our best to create a first-class economic city.”
Meanwhile, the Women's Business Week event is the first legal event to be held since the Women's Business Act was amended in October last year. Each branch of the association presented various events such as promotion of women's companies, awards, and promotion of excellent products.
