The Daedeok Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman Park Jung-Hyun, hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) announced eight major strategic policy projects in 2022 aimed at developing Daedeok-type local cultural and tourism policies, developing convergent regional content, and establishing active cultural governance.
Through this, the foundation said it will focus its capabilities on realizing the culture of residents, establishing policies led by residents, creating a cultural tourism ecosystem as top priorities, establishing a business system suitable for management strategies, maximizing performance by project, and achieving stable foundation management.
It also plans to develop Daecheongho Water Light Film Festival - 대청호물빛영화제 (formerly Daecheongho Film Festival - 대청호가 그린 영화제), Soran Soran Rest Festival, and Daedeok Village Art Week into contents representing Daedeok.
The foundation opened on September 1st and laid the foundation for revitalizing local cultural tourism by conducting forums, roundtable meetings, and thousand-year urban Daedeok Innovation Expedition, and based on this, it will carry out eight policy projects in earnest, including ▶ local cooperation project ▶ culture brand project ▶ village art project ▶ culture space management project.
"The year of 2022 for The Daedeok Culture and Tourism Foundation is the first year to actually carry out policy projects, sharing the reasons for the foundation's existence with the local community and presenting Daedeok's cultural tourism vision. We will try to become a successful model for the Basic Cultural Foundation through creative content development, substantial business promotion, structured governance construction, and stable management", said Lee Sang-Eun, Executive Director of the Daedeok Culture and Tourism Foundation.
Meanwhile, the Daedeok Culture and Tourism Foundation will directly host the Daecheongho Film Festival, which will be held for the first time this year, brand it as a representative film festival in Chungcheong Province, increase the film festival period to three days (Friday to Sunday) in time for residents' day.
In addition, Daedeok Village Art Creation Center and Daedeok Village Art Week will be piloted to create a living and cultural environment led by residents, and Daedeok Village Art Week will help residents restore community and lay the foundation for cultural autonomy.
The Daedeok Culture & Tourism Foundation, by applying to the DMO (Regional Tourism Promotion Organization), a public contest hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization, creates a multi-layered cooperative system with local tourism business entities to develop tourism content, plan tourism products, and start 2022. He expressed his ambition to make it the first year of a leap forward in fair ecotourism.
The exhibition is free of charge from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays at the Daedeok Culture and Tourism Foundation Gallery, and according to the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, fever checks and masks are mandatory and can be operated with a limited number of attendants.
